Difference Between the “Products & Services Report” and “Order Profit”

The data in the “Order Profit” and “Products & Services Report” are different.

This happens because these reports answer different questions and calculate data using different rules.

Let’s review each report separately and look at an example to understand the difference.


This report shows the overall company profit from orders.

  • the report includes all products and services within an order;
  • the total amount is calculated for the entire order;
  • the report includes filters by order creation date and closing date:
    • By creation date — total of all created orders.
    • By closing date — total of closed orders only.
  • if products or services in an order change over time, the report updates.

This report shows a ranking of products and services added to orders and sales.

  • the report is generated per item, not for the entire order;
  • each item is recorded in the period when it was added;
  • data does not move to other periods even if the order is closed later.

  • 01.12.2025 — order created and service “Glass Wrapping” added
  • 01.01.2026 — service “Bumper Wrapping” added to the same order
  • 01.01.2026 — order closed and paid

Products & Services Report:

  • “Glass Wrapping” → December 2025
  • “Bumper Wrapping” → January 2026

“Order Profit” Report:

  • both services appear within one reporting period
  • if viewed by creation date → December 2025
  • if viewed by closing date → January 2026
